What causes gastritis?
The most common cause of gastritis is H pylori infection. Other causes include acid reflux, prolonged use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDS), alcohol use, and tobacco use, all of which can irritate the lining of the stomach.
