Genitourinary tract symptoms that may occur along with cervix symptoms

Cervix symptoms may accompany other symptoms affecting the genitourinary tract including:

• Itchiness of the vagina and the tissue around it (vulva)
• Pain during sexual intercourse
• Pain or burning with urination
• Pelvic or abdominal pain
• Pelvic pressure or fullness
• Redness and swelling of the vulva
• Vaginal bleeding
• Vaginal discharge

Other symptoms that may occur along with cervix symptoms

Cervix symptoms may accompany symptoms related to other body systems including:

• Change in bladder function
• Change in bowel movements
• Fatigue
• Fever
• Leakage of urine or stool through the vagina
• Leg pain and swelling
• Loss of appetite
• Unexplained weight loss
• Upper abdominal, leg, or back pain

Serious symptoms that might indicate a life-threatening condition

In some cases, cervix symptoms may be a symptom of a life-threatening condition that should be immediately evaluated in an emergency setting. Seek immediate medical care (call 911) if you, or someone you are with, have any of these life-threatening symptoms including:

• Bleeding while pregnant
• Chest pain, chest tightness, chest pressure, palpitations
• High fever (higher than 101 degrees Fahrenheit)
• Persistent or severe nausea and vomiting
• Respiratory or breathing problems, such as shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, labored breathing, wheezing, not breathing, choking
• Severe abdominal or pelvic pain
• Uncontrolled or heavy bleeding, hemorrhage
• Vomiting blood, rectal bleeding or bloody stool
